What a wonderful array of beautifully decorated Christmas cakes!  Mrs Stanley and Mrs Dobson worked with a team of dedicated bakers who entered their creations into the WGSG Christmas Cake Decoration Bake-Off.  Every student demonstrated a great level of creativity and skill creating amazing decorated cakes, making it an incredibly tough job for the judges!  Congratulations to all of our competitors.

The winners are;

First Place – Theviya of 10A

Second Place – Keeley K of 10C

Joint third place – Macy Q of 10A & Ellie K OF 10C

The after school Cooking Club will resume next term, the date will be confirmed in January.

The following students received a Silver House Point Certificate – having already accumulated in excess of 100 reward points;

Four Y13 students visited Emily Court Care Home to entertain residents with a rousing selection of carols and a gospel hymn in what proved to be an enjoyable event. One resident in particular knew all of the words to "Oh, The Blood of Jesus!" and was deeply moved by the song, which was moving to witness. WG6 and Emily Court will be working together in the New Year as they will be hosting Year 12 students on a volunteering project at their day centre.
